In the year 2018, 20% of Thailand’s GDP was generated from tourism and the number of foreign tourists traveling to Thailand has increased every year for the past 15 years. This year it is estimated that 35 million people will come to Thailand. The Thai government aims to increase the number of tourists to 37 million in 2019 and aims to increase the tourism revenue to 3 trillion baht.
